Taking a Stand Against Fly-Tipping & Littering in Brent

September 05, 2017

Appt Corporation t/a McDonald’s has joined forces with BTWSC to take a stand against fly-tipping and littering in the Brent area.

Managing Director of Appt Corporation, Atul Pathak, attended a resident and stakeholder meeting, hosted by BTWSC, on 25th August at the Brent Civic Centre, with the aim of tackling the issues of fly-tipping and litter in the local neighbourhood.

BTWSC is a Brent-based pan-London organisation, dedicated to developing the potential of all individuals, particularly those who may not usually have access to the creative arts.

Co-founder of the voluntary organisation, Awula Serwah, scheduled the event to discuss solutions to the local environmental issues affecting Brent, particularly litter and fly tipping, with local residents of Neasden and its surrounding wards.

Councillor Muhammad Butt, Leader of Brent Council, was one of a number of Councillors in attendance working to find solutions to this local scourge.

Atul Pathak said: “The event was a very worthwhile and good progress has been made to address the issues, which are very important to me and to many in the area. At McDonald’s, we take our responsibility of being a good neighbour very seriously, and we look forward to continuing our contribution towards this community effort.”
